If you love florals, you NEED this!

While many popular flowers and their textures were covered in Gary Greene's other books, this one focuses entirely on rendering flowers in exquisite colored pencil realism. Most of the examples are done with Prismacolors so if you have a reasonably large set of Prismas, you can follow anything he does. Gary Greene is not only one of the top colored pencil realist artists out there, he's excellent at explaining how to achieve the glorious effects he gets.
This is the book that'll drive you to fooling with all the brights in your set and creating explosions of color in detail so rich people will feel like they could pick them off the page. Step by step demonstrations show the techniques, then flowers are organized by type with examples of so many you'll feel like you're flipping through a garden catalogue. His methods are so easy to follow that if you are new to colored pencil, this will help tremendously to get you to the point of controlling the medium. For experts it'll open up new techniques and ideas that you may never have tried before. Greene is one of the best art writers out there, not one of these good artists who can't explain how they do what they do.
I'm slowly collecting all his books and this one is no disappointment since I do love doing florals!
