Creating Lifelike Figures in Polymer Clay by Katherine Dewey (2008)

This is a wonderful book!!!!!! If you are a beginner or an experienced artist you will find this book useful. There are lots of pictures and easy to follow instructions on how to create lifelike figures. You will not be disappointed with this terrific book.I LOVE IT!!!!!! I plan to search out more books by Katherine Dewey.

I first saw this book advertised by a bookseller. I have a collection of polymer clay books, but haven't been able to get the realistic faces right. They all look like munchkins. Not that there's anything wrong with that! I loved this book. It made me think I might be able to do it. I am working on my first face now.....so we will see. If we only learn one thing from each book, it's worth it.

This is one of the best books by a top artist. It is easy to follow with all the tips and info you need to do a good job. I love to sculpt but using polymer is different and I had no experience with doing figures. I mostly do horses / unicorns. So this book is the best in my opinion. You will be pleased for sure!

This is a fantastic book, the pictures along with the instructions are very clear and cover everything step by step. I feel that this is the only book I'll ever need to create life-like people with polymer clay.

This was exactly what I was looking for: step-by-step details, clear instructions and photos, and lots of tips for the best results.

Katherine Dewey out did herself on this book. This book is easy to understand.
Tells you how you can make your own tools. Teaches you how to understand a person face and body. I think if you want to make lifelike figures this books is a must. Is very educational.
