The Cream Of Clapton by Eric Clapton (CD, Mar-1995, Polydor USA)

If for some reason you can only have one CD for the rest of your living, breathing years, make it this one by Slowhand. Proof that "Clapton IS God".

What can I say, this is CLAPTON. Nothing else be said. The songs are some of his best. I'm partial also to the UNPLUGGED CD if you are into his acoustical side of play. ALso check out his Blues CD if you love the blues.

I bought the CD several months ago and am still loving it. I have always been a fan of Eric Clapton and have been since the early 1970s. The Cream of Clapton continues to remain one of my favorite albums. It invokes so many sweet memories. I bought the CD because my friend plays it everytime we get together for the holidays. Hearing it makes me feel like it is Christmas every day. Simply the best! No complaints about anything concerning the quality of the CD. It plays perfectly.

The Cream of Clapton is fantastic, all of his best songs just the way you like them. Brings back lots of memories. would buy again.

I PREFER HIS OLDER RECORDINGS. HE WAS HE WAS AT HIS BEST. THIS CD BRINGS BACK OLD MEMORIES OF BEING YOUNG, WILD AND FREE.

I was looking for a reasonably priced CD specifically for the CREAM song "Sunshine of Your Love". I recently bought my 10 yr. old son an electric guitar and he kept playing the riff (or is it spelled rift?)from that song. I told him about Eric Clapton and Cream and in my head I told myself I would buy him the CD to hear it for himself. After checking local stores I discovered the price of a new Cream CD was too much so I found this one on eBay. The shipping was prompt and the CD was in perfect order and clean. Now....we keep playing the CD and enjoy all the songs immensely...especially me, the "old" man who used to rock to Cream's music. I like the sounds, memories and smile it brought to my son's face. Previous eBay purchases of CD's have been good experiences but once a seller pulled a fast once and sent a badly defective CD...not so this time. But like most of my eBay purchases....things have been good. But there is always a "bad apple" in the bunch trying to get over on others. Not this time.

This was a Christmas gift for my nephew who loves the guitar and with Eric Clapton being one of the best, it was the perfect gift

best cd from clapton, have all songs from his early years, everybody needs to have cd in their collection if u are a rock and roll fan.

If you like Eric Clapton in his various incarnations, you will like this historical revue of the different "feels" of each of his formative eras. These are all tracks from fairly early years. The original "Layla" is of course a classic.

Brings back golden memories. So glad to be able to get this again. The sound was terrific. Wish there was more.

This CD contains lots of good classic Eric Clapton tracks. I bought it so that I could listen to what I like in Eric's music, not what the radio station thinks that I like. I would recommend it as one of the building blocks to a collection of Clapton music.

Great compilation album of early clapton to mid-career clapton and a great deal!!I've been a Clapton fan since 1968 and this covers a little bit of the best from this prolific blues man,from all eras of his illustrious career. I recieved this CD in exelent condition and in a very timely manner ..I'm a satisfied customer!

As all of Clapton's solo albums are very uneven, and marred by the fact that although he's a great guitarist he really can't sing, it would be very difficult to put together even a single disc greatest hits compilation with truly great tunes. This collection, however, is a career spanning compilation focusing on his guitar work and includes not only 12 of his best solo recordings, but 5 awesome Cream tunes, 1 from Blind Faith, and 2 from Derek and the Dominoes. Presented in chronological order with brilliantly remastered sound. The best single Clapton disc to own is still Derek and the Dominoes' "Layla and Other Love Songs". Since only 2 cuts from that seminal album are included here there is not much overlap, so purchase of both will give you all the Clapton you will ever need.

Wonderful, love every song on the album. Clapton has been a favorite of mine for years. I don't think he has a song I don't love.
