  Rob Thomas new album Cradlesong
Review created: 11/14/09

Rob has definitely outdone any of his previous work the this new style album, when you listen to it you can definitely tell that he has poured his heart and soul into each and every song. In 10 out of 10 I give it a definite 10,no disapointment here.

  Cradlesongs is a good cd, but doesn't compare to MB20
Review created: 11/06/09

This is a good cd, like his first solo. But his solo cd's are not anywhere near as good as Matchbox 20 cd's.I hope for his sake he finds the time to get together with them again and start writing material for a MB20 CD.I don't feel he'll be around to much longer if he decides to go this alone, without MB20, he's just another male average singer , songwriter.Hope he reads these reviews because a MB20 cd is long overdue. He'd have much more success with them , then going it alone, IMHO!!!

  Cradlesong = Worth It

I absolutely love this CD!
If you are a fan of Rob Thomas, then I 100% recommend this CD to you. There is not a single track that I dislike, and all of the tracks are good enough to listen to many many times.
I have liked Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty since the late 90's, and this CD does not disappoint loyal fans.
You will not regret buying this CD!

Sound like vintage Matchbox Twenty. "Her Diamonds" is a killer and should be on everyones iPod. The rest of the CD is mellow and some tunes sound "country".

I love Rob Thomas. I loved Matchbox 20. I have all of the cd's and I don't feel that this is the best one. It's good don't get me wrong. It's very good but comparing it to his older stuff, I don't think it's as good.

  If you liked the first ....you'll love the second!
Review created: 07/31/09

Before this cd was released I had found myself listening to a lot of music by Tabitha's Secret (Rob's band before Matchbox Twenty). I really enjoyed the rawness in Rob's voice and the lyrics that seemed to not be as polished and refined.
I think that's why I love this album Cradlesong so much. This may not make sense but in a way Rob Thomas regressed and that has made all the difference.
Start to finish you'll love this cd. I'm amazed how his solo music can be so different from the music that Matchbox Twenty produces.(I am a big fan of both.)

Here is your bonus advice...
Go buy MILK THE BEE by The Break and Repair Method today! This is Paul Doucette's (MB20's guitarist) debut solo album. I like it *gulp* more than Rob's and that's saying a lot.
