I'm a hobby sheepman. I had 50 head of lambs/sheep april 1st 2007. By the end of June I had lost 20 head of lambs and sheep to coyotes (not wild dogs)! This book is very objective in his discussions about when and why to kill or not to kill these perpetrators. Also, it very comprehensive about the nature and habits of the smartest canine in the world today. He ranks it third to the elephant and the porpoise in intelligence(I think). A must for the coyote enthusiast/hunter.
I killed one coyote and did not lose anymore sheep for 2 months. Then I had one random killing - that I assumed was a coyote.
