The Covers Record by Cat Power (CD, Mar-2000, Matador record label)

I have been a Cat Power fan for about three years now, and i was surprised when i saw that one of her songs was used in V for Vendetta. I wanted to see the CD that the song had come from, and it sounded like an interesting list of covers since i also like Nina Simone and The Rolling Stones. I heard this was around a time when Chan Marshall was going through a transitional period and trying her hand at covers, and the only thing i have against the actual CD is that a lot of her songs sound too similar. Slow-paced, kind of sad, but pretty. It's good "driving in the rain" kind of music. It's a nice CD to have if you like Cat Power.
