It's very zany for a classic, but that's just what it is: classic. It's part swashbuckler, part romantic, all hilarious and enjoyable!
Danny Kaye does a great job in the role of an ex-carnie rebel impersonating the "incomperable" court jester to save his country, while wooing the princess, and being knighted!
I've loved it since I was little, and finally decided to buy it on ebay.

Danny Kaye was always one of my favorites, and in The Court Jester he is even better. I saw this movie years ago, and was glad to have a chance to own it at this price. The color is good, the action is better. There is nothing about it that I don't like. It is one of those movies that you can see, and enjoy, more than once.
