Synopsis The sixth Eve Duncan thriller is a direct follow-up to the storyline in the previous book in the series, BLIND ALLEY, in which the forensic sculptor discovered the amazing resemblance between her adopted daughter, Jane, and an ancient Roman wall-painting. Jane takes a break from studying for finals at Harvard to pull her drunken (and underage) friend Mike out of a bar. On the way back home, they are attacked by two assailants who shoot Mike, although they make it clear that their primary target is Jane. Jane must learn why before any more harm is done to the people she loves.
