I Could Never Be Your Woman (DVD, 2008)

I bought it because the movie was about a middle age woman. Michelle is a great actress, but the story line did not do her any favors. This movie was not entertaining, very slow moving and in general totally boring. I fast forwarded through most of it. I hope the video store will let me trade it for something with a better story line.

This is a story about an "older" woman falling in love with a younger man. This could make a very interesting movie, but this story just made a story about two silly people with positively no aim in life but sleeping together and acting silly. If your kid acted the way this nut case male character does, you would seek help for him. I hope the second hand store hasn't seen this movie and will let me trade it in. CeeCee

This is a RomCom (Romantic Comedy) that manages to rise above its peers. Michelle Pfeiffer is superb and may I even say; Gorgeous, in this tale of an older woman falling for a younger man (Paul Rudd).

Not only do the two lead actors deliver good performances, but so does nearly everybody in the cast. Among these others are a few familiar faces and a few who are not so familiar, including at least 3 British actors, Tracey Ullman being one of them !

This is a fairly family-safe movie with only occasional mild language, few sexual references, zero nudity, almost no violence, or drug usage.

What there is is a funny film that is very watchable. My whole family ( 2 Forty-Something parents + a 13yr old boy & 13yr old girl ) are able to watch this together and laugh at the same scenes with no 'uncomfortable' moments regarding any particular scene or piece of dialog.

This is now one my new favorite films.

Michelle Pfeffier plays Rosie, who is a middle-aged writer of a show who has a relationship with a younger actor named Adam, played by Paul Rudd. Rosie tries to be mature about the affair but Adam has already fallen in love with the woman. At the same time, Rosie must deal with raising her daughter who is also falling in love for the first time.

The movie is absolutely hilarious and is a great film about love and growing up. It is defiantly a must-own DVD!

Found this movie on HBO otherwise I wouldn't know it existed. Did some research and found it wasn't released to theatres because of a quality issue but due to distribution snafues. Amy Heckerling wrote and directed this satire about the LA culture where youth is worshipped and older people are pushed aside. On the surface it would appear to be a standard romantic comedy but with the Heckerling touch it certainly isn't. It should have been her comeback. Makes me wonder what other gems never see the light of day.

A friend recommend I watch this movie. I had never heard of it, so I rented
it and knew right away I had to buy it. It is great!

What a brilliant and engaging little film - Amy Heckerling is always so on point with her writing and her character development - you can't help but fall in love with everyone. Paul Rudd was hopelessly loveable - and the great thing is, the movie gets better with each subsequent viewing. The dialogue is excellent and Michelle Pfeiffer is delightful as a youthful woman in the prime of her life - exploring her true self. The barbie banter she shares with her daughter is priceless. Well done! Anyone with a bad thing to say about this movie doesn't appreciate great comedy and the nuances of the actors. I'll admit, I had a difficult time with Mother Nature at first, but she grows on you... Don't miss this one, it is a gem!

My son is Amy Heckerling's PA and I wanted to see some of her current work! I believe the story is about her and I was curious how it would be written. I really liked it.

This was a good, timely movie and addressed the older woman-younger man issue. I thought it was well acted and enjoyable. The pace was good and it was just a good movie that for me anyhow, made me feel good after I watched it. While more women might watch this, I think it is very appropriate for men to watch as well, given the theme of the movie. Thumbs up.

Movie was very freshly funny! Loved it! didn't expect to get this kind of fresh comedy. The Lingo is what people use today, but it was used in a very smart way, never was offensive.

I rented this movie last month. I liked it so much, I ordered my own copy. Michelle Pfeiffer is terrific in this role. As a matter of fact, the casting for all characters was perfect. It's a fun, feel-good movie for all ages. I highly recommend it.
