Long-running popular comedy television series about the Huxtable family. Doctor Heathcliff Huxtable and Clair Huxtable, a happily married couple, are raising their children (Sondra, Denise, Theodore, Vanessa, and Rudy). The two oldest daughters eventually live successful adult lives and get married (Sondra to Elvin and Denise to Martin). As the children get older, the family gets larger and, to the chagrin of Cliff, keep on coming back home when he wants them to move out and live on their own for good. In one of the more memorable shows of this season Denise decides it's time to head off to college.

Bought this because the quality of TV programming is so poor and really unfit for family viewing a lot of the time. The family relations are things that most families can identify with. The lifes milestones that the children go thru are handled so well that I think families will see things they can relate to and deal with it in a way that is not their 'knee jerk' reaction.
The DVD is not as easy to navigate as I wish it were.
I'm glad I bought it and have no buyers remorse. It's fun for all ages.

Was taking a vacation road trip with three kids age eleven, eight, and seven. Bill Cosby (and an in car dvd player) eliminated the "are we there yet" syndrome.

this is another one of my favorites, bill cosby and the kids do such a great show its like running my house the same way but he handles it a lot better than i do, but you learn from theses shows, they kind of teach you how to handle different things that do go on in the house hold,sure you cant handle it an a half hour in real time but the show kind of shows you how to handle it, and in most cases it really works,a raised 5 children in my home as well and its does go threw its up and downs daily, but my children grew up on cosby and the kids and they still watch them as adults and you know my kids came out pretty good because in real time to tv time they get what they say on tv and they learn from it and in the long run its worth it no familys are perfect but thats why we have tv not just to entertaine us,but to teach our children about the way things should be, i would tell all familys with big familys let the kids watch the cosbys shows there a wonderful tv family with great tv values

I love the show and needed the next disc to complete my collection. The transaction was fast and great! I have already watched the whole dvd set and I am looking forward to ordering the next one through ebay. Hopefully it will go as smooth as the recent transaction.

I have loved the Cosby Show since I was a kid. I wanted to get the show when it FINALLY came out on DVD. I had Season 1 already, so I had to have Season 2. I wanted to get it cheaper than in the store, so I tried eBay, and got what I wanted. The show is so great. The DVD works well, no scratches, jumps, etc. (Can't wait for Season 3!)

The best aspect of this series is the special shows which happen. There are unique episodes during every season. I like the show with Cliff's father as a jazz musician because it shows so many well known jazz musicians: Eric Gale on guitar, Jimmy Heath on sax, and Art Blakey on drums, to name a few.

I also enjoy the blend of intelligence and comedy on this series. There is never any inappropriate activity in this series, and yet it remains, creative, educational and entertaining.

Great family fun; we watch/listen to it in the van on long car trips. It is perfect for all ages and keeps the teens, and little kids amused and actually learning. Highly recommended.

Good clean program with great role models. This program is humorous and you will learn to love the characters. I highly recommend it, especially for families with children.

I purchased The Cosby Show-Season 2 because i like that show and Bill Cosby is Hilarious.i have to say i am impressed with how quickly i recieved the product, how it remained in good condition through the mail and how well it played.

It's the best sitcom on TV, ever...what's not to like? I'd seen the show when I was growing up and my wife hadn't seen one episode. We don't watch a lot of TV since there's not a lot of quality these days, but The Cosby Show is high quality and also entertaining. We wanted to get the whole series, so we started looking on Ebay for them since we can find them new or used and at a lower cost than in the stores. It might be between two and five dollars, but with eight or nine seasons, the savings add up.

There is no explanation needed for buying The Cosby Show on DVD. I grew up watching it and wanted to have it in my ownership. Even after watching the same episodes on re-runs for years, watching them in season and in sequence is a whole ne experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed this purchase. I'm glad Ebay made it possible for me to purchase this product because I couldn't find it in any of the stores where I live.
