Coraline (DVD, 2009, 2-Disc Collector's Edition)

i enjoy tim burton's movies. the characters themselves are really good, and the movie is really interesting. it is a favorite of mine and i completely recommend it.

an awesome movie by far, I am 29 yrs old and I LOVED this movie when I watched it with my kids and I had no idea what it was about and I was so suprised by how interesting the story is and how much fun this movie is for all ages. I would recommond it to anyone to rent or buy like me after watching it a few times and I had to have this movie :)

I bought this for my daughter, This edtion comes with 4 pairs 3 D glass works out good when she has friends over. Also since it collectors edtion she is taking cae of it not leaving disc or glass out of box. Hopfuly this will be the start of taking care of her DVDs. I like the movie also watched it with my daughter some quality time. Enjoy

The movie Coraline is a wonderful, scary, and great movie! The two disk collector's edition is so nice. I love that it comes with a ditital copy of the movie. I also love that it comes with four 3-D classes.

After i got this movie me, and my son watched this movie. i got the one with 2d and 3d visuals but my son is only 3 so we watched it in 2d. This is an awesome movie!!! made for all ages!!! would recommended to anyone!!!

from the director of the nightmare before christmas, you go on a dark, twisted adventure. watch this film lifted. if that's not your cup of tea, it's still a good movie to watch. 2 thumbs way up.

These particular copies of Coraline sold out at Target stores fairly quickly. I was able to find one that was not only in great condition, but it also contained the bonus 30 minutes of making of footage that would excite any DVD enthusiast. I was also lucky that the price was so close to what Target was asking for anyways.

I saw the movie in-theaters, and I thought it was worth adding to the collection. I enjoy the graphics, musical score and story line. It's something different to put on every once in a while.

Having read the book prior to seeing the movie may have unduly influenced me. I expected more from the story, but loved the visuals which were bold, effective and brilliantly colored. Maybe it's more a good read than something able to be shown, as I'm not sure how a child would view this: it's scarier than expected (thinking from a child's perspective, which might not be realistic as I'm many years past childhood), and darker in tone. I would have liked more of the peripheral characters, but I'm sure the director wanted to narrow the focus (it's already over 90 minutes). The background music and voices chosen for the characters were excellent. I haven't watched the 3D (not really my thing), but that may add to the older child's enjoyment of the film. For the ratings I might give it a good minus or an average plus (so the above is not exacting enough).
