Coral Reef Adventure is a very good Blu-ray experience

I recently treated myself to a Sharp Blu-ray player to match my Aquos 32" HDTV, taking advantage of the great bargains after Christmas. I then went shopping for some Blu-ray discs that I could watch often. The Coral Reef Adventure looked like a good choice, and after viewing, I was certainly not disappointed. I am no HD viewing expert yet, but the picture appears to be very clear, with vivid colors and sharp definition. I will likely never visit the South Pacific, but I have snorkeled and hiked widely in Hawaii and the BVI's and the coral, fish, and scenery in this adventure looked very true to life. Honestly, the underwater scenes were much clearer than when viewed through my partially fogged mask. The underlying story line to create a baseline for preserving the coral reefs and helping one islander to understand how he can help restore his dying reef was a nice touch. The CSN music was was both humerous and refreshing. I could have done without the unfortunate bout of the "bends" one of the divers experiences. I have a 5.1 home theater connect to this TV, and the (preselected) 5.1 master audio mode, made the surf and music come through in great detail. All in all, quite good and I will enjoy showing this disc to many guests.
