Cooking Rocks! by Rachael Ray (2004, Hardcover, Spiral)

She is great, she puts recipes in my life that i never knew about. Im a yound new wife and this book helps me cook with out burning. Give me simple ideas for dinner. I have a new daughter it is hard to balance dinner and her and him. I use to hate cooking and now its simple. Everything i use to cook came out of a box (boring). Thanks for giving me back my dinners!

I do cooking camps in the summer. I am always looking for something different to do the following summer and when I saw my friend having this lovely book I thought I would get it for this coming summer. In this book I have many ideas.

I bought it for my grandkids as the book has divided sections for all age groups and my grandkids are 3.5,7,and 9. They are going to get aprons with this cookbook for Christmas. We're going to start their cooking experience for the first time after Christmas. Happy cooking for us. Priscilla

This is a cookbook for children. I didn't find this book to be very good for my daughter. The recipes were just not very appropriate for children. Many of the ingredients would not be normal things that you would keep in the house. It would be very expensive to get all the ingredients recommended.

I bought it as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old nephew. When he opened it, Mom, Dad, and grandparents all grabbed the book to point out recipes to make. It was a great hit. It had kid friendly, easy to use recipes. The recipes use readily available ingredients which are also kid friendly. Most recipes are quick and easy to prepare with minimum preparation and minimum ingredients. I believe he will use this book now and for years to come, into his teen years, and save it for his children. It is timeless. Hands down it is the easiest, tastiest recipe book for kids I have seen.

My 8 yr old daughter loves this book.. Rachael teachs all the RIGHT ways to cook and clean up.. We are buying another copy for her cousin.

This makes a great little surprise gift for the cooking minded kid. The recipes are seperated out nicely by age so if the child is more adventurous so be it.

this is a wonderful book for kids and adults, young and old, new cooks and not so new cooks. My father (recent widower) enjoys it.

I did not find anything particularly special about this cookbook. There were only about 4-5 recipes per age group. They were simple, which is great for the younger kids, but I was really looking for something 'new'. I would try a different cookbook geared towards kids cooking over this one. Better luck next time to me! :)

You will enjoy this cook book whether you are are a Rachael Ray fan or not. This is a great book for both adults and children. My daughter is just a beginner in cooking, and loves the easy to read recipes. If you have a picky eater this book might be helpful. This book has helped by daughter to try things that she might not have been interested in before. Lots of great recipes that I will continue to use.

There are a lot of kid friendly recipes in this book, I purchased this book for my 15 yr old niece and she couldn't put it down. She has now tried almost half of the recipes since I have given it to her and she says most are pretty good. I also purchased this for my 4 year old daughter who is getting better about eating food but I thought this would help her to eat things that she might not normally eat plus I figured that she would at least try anything that she helped make. It worked. There are a few "weird" recipes in this book, things that I might not try but there are a lot that I would.

My 5yr old loves to watch Rachael Ray with my mother. When I gave her the cookbook for Christmas she was sooo excited. She and Grandma immediately sat down to pick out all the things they wanted to make together. Bonus: Didn't know there was a section for older kids as well. My older daugther loves it too!

I have all of her books and have watched her on TV. Grandson wants GRANNY to teach him how to cook. I am in California. He is in Washington so I thought this would be the best I could do.
