HELPS FIND SOME ANSWERS YOU PROBABLY KNEW ALREADY BUT!

When people stare into the abyss, they might see different things, depending.
When people dig deep for hard answers about spiritual matters, they find many things they normally wouldn't if they had only looked harder. This astonishing story and film usually empowers us all to strive much longer and dig much deeper into our own self. Whether we hear GOD or not should not be the ultimate goal here.
As we watch Neale Donald Walsch's story poured out in this dramatic film, we all seem to relate to those moments that tend to bring about defining changes in our lives. Whether you are "scraping the bottom of the barrel", you tend to feel a bit more helpless and lost when you are. If you haven't been there (yet, either because you are too young to have enough things happen, or you have lived a pretty happy-go-lucky life), it might not ever register as profoundly as it could. That's usually when many turn directions in their lives, either for better or worse.
Mr. Walsch has a moving message of compassion, spirituality, and trusting in your own inner voice. We can only imagine the pain and anguish people go through in hard times, so no one can really say they have "cornered GOD", but what I think he is trying to tell us, is that GOD truly cares for us and, if you will listen to HIM, he will reveal himself to you in mysterious ways. Maybe, you don't have this feeling or experience the voice of GOD talking directly to you yet (or ever think you might in the future), but still, an explanation about certain advanced questions sometimes goes unspoken or are never really answered, much yet understood.
Perhaps there was nothing special about Neale, but we most only wonder why these moments in time become so important for him to be directed towards extraordinary understanding in order to write the 4 books and have this film made about his experiences.
Henry Czerny did a wonderful thing taking this role and it should be mentioned that many people in acting never have the opportunity to play true-life people, much less while they are still living. Neale's autobiographical novel is a nearly unparalleled and awe inspiring phenomenon that he claims changed his life and many others because of his experience. We must applaud those that share with others their revelations about seeking any type of answers from GOD, which, I am glad that he stands upon his premises that his questions where directed toward GOD.
If you are not transformed in some way by this story, perhaps reading his books could shed more light on this subject.
I'll give this a 5/5 for a stunning story and performance by Henry Czerny and all the other performers that made this film come together with impunity.
