Conversational Japanese in 7 Days by Colin Lloyd, Etsuko Tsujita (1993, Audio Cassette)

I bought this set of tapes hoping that I would be able to communicate with new friends in Japan. While I have found the set to be somewhat helpful, japanese is a very demanding language, with very strong emphasis on inflection. Unfortunately, I feel that the repeating pronunciation is too fast and passes on too quickly, not allowing you the response time necessary, to work out in your own mind, the correct inflection and pronunciation. More time spent on repetition and emphasis on inflection would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I just need to find the right program that will offer more responsiveness. This is just my first try with a japanese language program, and I am not giving up yet!
