This is the game to play! It is one of my favorite Nintendo games, why? Its action packed fun and the grapics are great for this time frame, when Nintendo ruled.

Contra is a great classic game for NES. The game was in great shape and worked the first time i put it in (after blowing in the bottom of the game of course). Not much to dislike about the game except the graphics, but it is the NES what did you expect?! I would recommend it to those who are looking for a fun and challenging shooting game for the old school system

I remember playing this game with a few friends.I remember "The Code".I own an old school NES that I still play.I decided to buy this game because I use to have this game in my own collection of games for the NES,I lost this game and I never found it,so I decided to check out Ebay and what do you know! I found one for a good bargain.This game is truly a treasure.Super C and Contra 3 are cool,but their not as good as the original Contra.This game is totally AWESOME!!!.

Contra is a classic. You cannot beat its fantastic controls and gameplay. Contra is a staple of any classic game player. Its co-op is one of the best muliplayer game experiences ever. The sound, the visuals, and the gameplay make contra an extremely excellent choice for the fan of the action shooter.

Where do you start on a game like Contra? This game is perfect. One of my all time favorites for the NES. If you haven't played it before, you owe it to yourself to try it. This one is truly a classic. (One of the few things that is embedded into my brain never to be forgotten in the Contra code: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, START). Wow.

The most important factor in rating this game is its over-all rating. When deciding on what Nintendo NES games to buy the past judgment of millions of players has proven this game to be a hit classic that will never lose appeal. The gameplay on Contra is very responsive, which means it will never slow down, even in multiplayer mode. Levels 2 and 4 are the only levels that are strange and unkind being that you are walking into a three dimensional walkway being bombarded by bad guys and drums that knock you down. The game isn't extremely hard but having to start over as your continues end makes it a challenge. All in all, this is one of the best games made for the NES so go pick it up. Dahl4you at Ebay.

Contra has excellent graphics for an NES game. Gameplay is excellent and competes with todays high tech FPSs. I highly recommend getting this game if you own an NES.

I love this game, it is a NES staple for any collector. Hours of single player fun or take two and get a buddy to help out.

I love this game and I wanted to buy another one. I loved this game since I was a little kid. I need some more words to write.

Everything was fine, but shipping only cost the seller 86 cents but they charged 4 dollars for handling. I had to clean the game, but after i did it seemed to work fine.

Contra is the beginning of something amazing. The first in a series of epic, difficult, and memorable games that are always inventive and fun. Contra seemed to be one of the very few games that actually got controls RIGHT, with it's creative "shoot in just about every direction" control scheme, you could take on the WAVES upon waves of baddies thrust upon you. Every Contra game is hard, and the first is no exception. So if you're looking for a real challenge, tight controls, and one of the best games ever; look no further than Contra.

I love contra and I wanted to buy for my self and found it so I bought it and could not find it for any cheaper than 17 or 20 dollars

Game is in usable condition and my husband is pleased with the service. We have been looking for several "old school" video games. You just can't beat the classics!!!!

As old as this game is now, it's still better than a lot of games that come out today. It's a simple run-and-gun game where you can shoot in 8 directions. There a lot of power ups available, and you can play through the game in 2 players. The game is very difficult and almost impossible without using the conta code that gives you 30 lives, but it just makes it that much more worthwhile to beat it. Great game, I had a blast playing it!

This is a very fun game! I always wanet this game when I was younger but never could find it for sale. Thanks to ebay now I have it. Definatly one of the best games for the nes console.
