Killer album
Review created: 08/06/08(updated 08/06/08)
Alice Cooper's Constrictor album is solid and entertaining. The highlights are the emotionally driven songs "Teenage Frankenstein," the hard-thrusting "Thrill My Gorilla," and my personal favorite, the irresistibly catchy "He's Back (The Man Behind the Mask)," the theme song from the 1986 film "Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI," one of the most entertaining entries in that film series. A couple of the tracks are somewhat pedestrian, such as the somewhat unexciting "Crawlin'." None of these songs have quite the raw energy of, say, "School's Out," but nevertheless this is a first-rate part of Cooper's ouevre.
