Constant Battles by K.Register & S.LeBlanc
Very easy to read, and well reasoned examination of warfare and conflict in early human societies. A book NOT CLOUDED by politically correct views of "the noble savage" and clearly illustrates that even early tribal societies were unable to exist in ecological balance, and demonstrates the inevitable conflict that occurred between neighboring groups when resources dwindled. Top notch reading!
