The Connex 4800DXL with echo is the newest and best Connex available at this time. It utilizes the same circuit board as the 4400 series, but the 4800 also has SSB making is an all mode transceiver. This radio has the features that make the lower models famous such as variable power levels, dual echo controls and excellent receive and transmit circuitry. In addition it has an incredibly accurate six-digit frequency counter, like most top of the line radios. If you've ever used a radio on sideband without a six digit counter then you know how much easier it makes things! If you’re thinking about buying the Galaxy 99 take another look at this unit. It has all of the features of the expensive radios, but for much less money.

The radio is easy to use, High drive, plenty of power as base or mobile!!! Echo, freq. counter, nice looking radio. If you can find one I highly sugest you buy it! I have mine hooked up with a wilson 5000, great match up. I had a few galaxy models, cobra models, Ranger 2950, this is the one I find perfect for me.
