Connecting by Lawrence J. Crabb (1997, Hardcover)

I found this book in a "Second-handBookstore". I read it and thought that he book was so good, that I went and purchased 6 more and have been giving them out as gifts.

Dr. Crabbs' suggestions are so helpful that I recommend it to everyone. He gives us a way to move forward in life without having to keep looking backword, and he gives us a plan to develop an intimacy with all people that is usually all too "surface". Now we can be real. Thank you, Dr. Crabb

This book was interesting because the author discusses ways that we try to communicate with others is in part a reflection of the way that we actually view others--the way we perceive and communicate with or about difficult people or people we do not seem to understnad in particular. The author says, "For whatever reason, it doesn't come naturally to search for the good."

On page 17, the author writes, "You not only want someone to deeply delight in you, but you would also love to give your most tender feelings and kindnesses to someone for his or her enjoyment."
