From Conception to Birth (DVD, 2007)

I bought this to show my children the MIRACLE OF LIFE. It is awesome how it shows the stages of the baby growing! The human body is simply amazing! Highly recommend it!

If your expecting a child this is a great dvd to watch. Its a little short (running time: approx 30 min.) but its not pricey so its worth the money. Must see for expecting parents. Another good dvd to look for is In the Womb by National Geographic, this one is longer and has alot of info!!!

While I do think that this movie was well made, and that the graphical details are amazing, as a Christian, I know that the human race was created by God, as we are, and that we did not evolve. The direct and indirect references and assumptions that we did evolve were very disappointing.

For just one example, evolution tries to teach that we have had "gills/gill slits" or a "tail". I liked the layout of the DVD presentation and the DVD was very informative. The graphics were in great detail as well. I bought it for me and my wife as we are expecting our fist child and this helped us understand the process better.

The dvd was done nicely. The information delivered in this piece was a good general source of human development. The documentary does not have a lot of scientific explanation of the human development.

You just HAVE to watch this, that's it! It had some pretty incredible computer graphics showing what things look like inside the womb. The information was presented in an entertaining way rather than in a lecture/documentary fashion.

I love that it chronicles stages of the baby's development and also shows the emotional side of what it's like to be a parent expecting and longing for their baby. But it seemed a little TOO condensed, and ended prematurely. It could have been developed more and fleshed out some of the families' stories in depth.

As a New Grandmother... I bought several books and videos for my son and daughter-in-law to help educate them on pregnancy, childbirth and early infant care. My son and Daughter-in-law loved this DVD and feel better prepared for delivery !!
