A very interesting and well written book by a noted expert. This is the 1993 update of the 1990 Edition. I'm glad Jan Hruska kept it at a level that could be understood by most computer operators. Computer countermeasures have been around for a while and I'm always amazed by the number of user who aren't up on the info. "Computer Viruses and Anti-Virus Warfare" is actually much more than this. It'll take you into other area also with one of the key lessons to be learned is that if you want to conduct computer warfare, you'd better be 10-thousand times better than your opponent to win. Unfortunately, most operators have a fairly simplistic idea of how the systems operate. Think about it...you often hear of hackers, spammers, terrorists, etc. being caught by law enforcement - don't you think a digitalize data trail is left??? Of course it is and it's available for specialists to trace the problem back to the originator - even if they're trying to disguise themselves. There's a real lesson here. Strongly recommended. My reviews are written without any knowledge as to who the potential seller may be.
