To a watch collector, this is probably the only reference book to give an accurate guide to the price of collectable watches. The book covers not only American pocket watches and some wristwatches but also many Swiss, French, German and English watches dating back to the 16th century. I have been purchasing this book for the past 20+ years and use it as a reference when bidding. People using the book should take into consideration that the prices reflect the price of precious metals at the time the book is written/published and these can fluctuate.
