The Complete Personalized Promise Bible by James Riddle (2004, Hardcover)

I purchased this book because, as a baby christian when I first got saved, I needed somewhere to go that could show me exactly what God had in store for me and what He had promised. My pastor recommended this book, because even though he has been pastoring for over 20 years, he still refers to it for hisself and his family and also when he is putting together his lessons for his church. I have found it to be wonderfully enlightening and uplifting. It seperates the entire Bible according to the different promises that God has made to us and backs those promises up with the biblical scriptures that pertain to it. In other words, if you want to know His promises to you on finances or personal healing, you simply look the topic up in the back and it gives you all of the scriptures that pertain to that topic and then you simply flip back in the front of the book to find that scripture and read it. By having this book, if anyone ever tries to tell you that God won't do something that you are believing in Him for or if you have a question about what you should believe in Him for, you can simply look up the topic in the back and find the scriptures to give you the knowledge you need to lay peace in your mind about those questions. And you know that what you are reading is God's message to you because that is what the Bible is and this book is taking scriptures directly from the Bible word for word and then is giving you a Declaration of Faith which explains it to you.
It is, all in all, a wonderful book to have. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with questions (and that should be everyone!). It will take the teachings that you hear that tell you what God no longer does leaving you feeling fear and insecurity, and will show you that GOD WILL and will give you a feeling of total peace, protection, and security in any situation you may face. You are never alone for He is with you and He, as your father, wants you to have everything good that your heart desires (much the same as you want for your own children)!
I would also highly recommend any reading by Kenneth Hagin. He puts things in a way that would be easy for anyone to understand!

I am reading it right now. I was wanting to feel closer to God, I study and pray and go to church -- but I was feeling that I still wanted more. This book and JR's other books, pull scripture verses together. It is really a blessing from God that he was able to put this book together in such a way. He expands on a verse or two, he provides prayer and faith declarations that put the Bible right to work in your life. I am so glad these books found me, the longing I have expirienced is finally feeling quenched. You will enjoy this book, there is something for everything in your life. A great way to grow closer to God, I have learned that peices of the Bible fit together and bring a whole new meaning to that verse, deeper understanding, and most of all more of God's blessings.

I like this because the topics are easy to find and relate back to the Holy Bible. They are in an easy to understand language and relate to everyday life.

I receive this Bible as a gift and I check with ebay to see if you had the Bible and you did so i purchase to give to someone as a gift

I decided to buy it to give away to other people.I already had own one before.It makes the bible even more personal.I recommend this book to all Christians out there to help them increase faith ,because faith comes by hearing the word of God.
