This book, by far, is the best for beginning brewers! The beginner is taken through the first batch, then "Better-Brew", and finally the book contains an excellent reference/recipe section for even the most advanced brewers.

Without the excellent Technical and Practical aspects covered therein it would STILL be a Fun Read!

Great book with tons of great recipes for brewingI decided to buy the book for my boyfriend, as for christmas I had bought him a home brewing kit. He read the book in less than two days and was confident in his brewing abilities. He even decided to make up his very own recipe on his first try at brewing. It was a good book and I recommend it anyone interested in home brewing.

I liked this book, it opens at the utmost beginners level, although you can probably find beginner level instructions for brewing attached to a DIY Homebrewing Kit, this book goes into the more advanced techniques without sounding like a manual, and most of all completely simplifies what initially appears to be the complex and intimidating art of beer crafting.
