Conplete Idiot's Guide to Tantric Sex

Tantra is often described as the combination of Eastern spirituality with modern Western psychology. It is definately an evolving field and a vast majority of the books up until now deal largely with the techniques of the Eastern spirituality part. This book by Judy Kuriansky balances the literature in the field. Her extensive background in clinical psychology combined with her studies in the East make for a refeshing presentation. Her encyclopedic coverage to the subject of Tantric Sex is supplemented with references to further resources for those who wish to delve deeper into some particular aspect. With so much misunderstanding occuring in the world, it is truely refreshing to see a book which lays out the techniques and purposes of human communication at the most fundamental level. I was struck by her discussion in the first chapter of "Why Tantra Sex Now?" It was the first time I had seen a writer deal with the sociology of Tantra.
