The Complete Idiot's Guide to Freemasonry by S. Brent Morris (2006, Paperback)

This book is a great example of a prime for non-mason and the beginner. It also is a great resource for even experienced masons to answer questions about who the masons are and where they came from.

A great discussion on some of the most common myths and misconceptions about masonry are dispelled. A must buy for anyone interested in or involved with the Masonic fraternity.

This book gave the basic information about the history, symbols, etc. of the freemasons. However, since it was written by a freemason, it was one sided in favor of the masons. I was hopeing for more detailed information on present day symbols, myths and meanings. The history section was very well written.

I like this book because it was very informative and specific of the events and language of Freemasonry. As someone who knew absolutely nothing of the subject it was a very helpful tool in writing my research paper for English class. I would recommend this book to others as a credible resource about the fraternity. A+
