Minor Threat is an amazing band. One of the best things to ever come out of DC. They have really instilled a lot of change through thier music. So many great songs on this cd. It's an essential to any hardcore collection.

This is loud fast and straight ahead punk rock at its best! All of Minor Threat's studio recordings in one great disc. If you like hardcore, punk, emo, metal, polka, etc, you need to own this.

  Minor Threat....."meh"
Review created: 01/11/07

I'll be the first to admit I had everything I could get my hands on by Minor Threat in the '80s. Even though they could arguably be considered a cultural phenomena of the time, musically they are just average. Nothing too interesting given the 2 and 3 cord progressions that dominate most songs. The lyrics, although provocative and intense, are clearly self indulgent and dogmatic. That whole "straight-edge" scene seemed like just a new brand of fascism. This album would be fun to have if you are already a fan, but if you want some '80s punk do yourself a favor and buy something from The Minutemen or Black Flag.
