Complete Book of Home Preserving (2006, Paperback)

My purchase was smooth and fast only to compliment this great book. In its brand new cover it is absolutely beautiful to look at with all of those colorful canning products looking at you. Opening the pages, it gives a wealth of knowledge for making home canned food items and includes a vastness of recipes to one to make. I absolutely love this book!! I highly recomend it to anyone who wants to learn to can, all the way to veteran canners (food preservers).

This book expands on a lot more canning recipes using the boiling water bath (bwb), and it has some really good sounding recipes, especially for Herbed Tomatoes. I bought it because I belong to a couple of canning groups, and everyone was abuzz about it. I love to find new canning books (and some old ones too). So many people talk about the Ball Blue Book as the canning "bible" and this new book from the same company that produce the Ball Blue Book might take it's place. It will be worth the money to buy if you do a lot of canning.

Easy to follow instructions. Lots of tips and illustrations. Great recipes! I've canned 3 different recipes and so far everyone of them as turned out great!

i like the different recipes, but dislike the like of canning info. i thought it was a more common canning book not a fancy kind.
