Columbo: Mystery Movie Collection 1989 (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Box Set Universal Classic Television)

I'm a HUGE Columbo fan! I bought this DVD to add to my collection of Columbo DVDs. I have them all. Can't wait for the next one to come out.

As usual, Columbo is at his all-time best. It seems each DVD is better than the previous.

Columbo is older, and just as wise as he was when he was younger; a great come-back for the famous detective. Columbo advocates will love this last look at this special detective.

I'm a hardcore Columbo fan so of course I enjoy this collection. However I reserve the highest ratings for the earlier episodes which ran on NBC. The first five of the ABC episodes are on this collection and there are two which I really like a lot: Grand Deceptions, with the toy soldiers, and, Murder: A Self Portrait, with the dream interpretations. For the Columbo fans I say, "Gotta have it." But for the nonfan I would recommend beginning with some of the earlier ones that you can find on Ebay with titles such as "First Season" or "Second Season" and so on.

I love Columbo! They never get old, no matter how many times I watch them. I didn't care for all the ads before you get to the movies. The countdown of favorite sleuths was pretty good.

This collection is more modern than the series as it was a 1989 collection. But we're talkin' same car, same pooch, same Kate....same Number one Sleuth up to his best tactics of detecting... I purchased this collection because of my love for Columbo's character, and you won't be disappointed either! This is a must have for all Columbo Fans...

This was a christmas gift for a Colombo fan.The picture quality is better than when it ran on tv.It is great veiwing on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Any Columbo fan or crime drama/mystery fan will love these movies. I'm a huge Columbo fan and am collecting every movie. Once you start watching you can't stop until the end. They are filled with intrigue, drama, mystery, catch the bad guy thrills and a little humor to top it off. Each movie is wrapped up in classic bad guy gets outwitted by good cop Hollywood style.

We have loved Columbo for about 30 years. Finding these movies was a real treat. We can't find him on TV right now, but we have these movies for watching every once in a while.

It's a must have for any Columbo Movie Collector!

Those who love Columbo's distinctive investigative style will love this collection. The movie length allows more character development than his 1 hr.TV shows did as well as more complex dialogue - dialogue being characteristic of this series which relied on psychology rather than action.
Although I saw all these movies years ago, I still enjoyed each one again. The plots are well thought out and acting uniformly good, allowing the viewer to enjoy the battle of wits even knowing who will be the victor.

He's my Mom's hero and I just know she's gonna love it as a birthday gift. I can't wait to giveit to her, Thank you so much.

I think everything was in order and as expected.

Like all colubmo mysteries, there are some very good ones and some bery bad ones. This collection is no exception. The one with the guillotine was the best in my opinion.

I am a big Columbo fan. The DVD was great.I received it quickly and cannot wait until more come out.
