Colored Glassware of the Depression Era/Book 2 by Hazel Marie Weatherman (1991, Hardcover, Reprint)

I was at a Depression Glass Show, asking questions. They directed me to this book and told me it was "THE" book for Depression Glassware. I own other books on depression glass and have read many more. I find this book lists more patterns and makers than any other that I have read. The narrative is informative. This book is a great one to just browse.

This is the absolute definitive encyclopedia of American Depression-Era glassware. I bought it because it came highly recommended by a fellow e-Bayer. This is a heavy tome, meticulously detailed, but alas - no major color photo entries! Nonetheless, it is worth more than 10 times whatever you pay for it. You will probably wear it out with sleuthing usage! Dare I say, it is the glassware "bible". No respectable Depression Glass book collection should be without it. Among these types of expensive (and oftentimes "fluffy") books, this is the one you will never regret having bought.

It's a great basic Depression Era glass book. Even after 30 years (first edition 1974) it is the only source for some of the information it contains -- especially information on small companies that have been passed over by other researchers.

Combined it Book One and later Price Watches that had additional and correction information, it makes for a sorce that is hard to match.

We have two copies in our glass club library and they are constantly in use at meetings or checked out.
