Color Me Beautiful's Looking Your Best
Review created: 12/15/08(updated 12/16/08)

I was disappointed in the color swatches illustrated in the book and not the colors one would expect. They appear to have been produced by using crayons which makes it somewhat difficult to match shades. Some colors that are listed for the different seasons I would consider to be a departure from the books written by Carole Jackson. I read more about the new seasonal concept but what I really wanted is to have color swatches that are as close as possible to the actual colors for my season. I need to be able to use the swatches when shopping and experimenting. The information in the book, aside from the colors, was helpful and contained some good insight into the seasonal methodology which I firmly believe in and have since 1984. I would have preferred to purchase a book from Carole Jackson writing an updated version of her "Color Me Beautiful Makeup Guide" but I understand that she is no longer a part of "Color Me Beautiful." Overall, the book was good but could have been much better.
