Color Ink Cartridge (130008001) for Hewlett Packard Printer / Copier

HP cartridges when they work are like work-horses. Neither of these cartridges worked. Per recommendations, we rubbed tips w/rubbing alcohol & soaked in warm water to loosen hardened ink-- all to no avail. Returned for refund. Seems HP 23s in the range of 2004 (MAYBE) to 2008 work-- some we got from 2007 from another SELLER work GREAT! It's not Seller's fault-- just if from 2002 or 2003 etc. ink dries out through time we think-- be cautious w/shipping fees being MORE THAN Item Price. If you must return for REFUND you might pay MORE for RETURN POSTAGE than Item cost-- meaning you'll never recoup your investment with cartridges that are dried out--

I just bought a pack of two HP23 cartridges. The have a 1 1/2 year old expiration date. Popped it in printer -- NO YELLOW ink. Placed the cartridge in the sink with a low stream of hot water striking the lower portion of the print cart. Took it out after 2 min. Put the bottom of the cartridge on a piece of rolled up toilet paper. Some yellow showed up. Squeezed both sides of the cartridge a few times, put cartridge agains the toilet paper again. Voila - works great. I use an old HP895cxi printer that doesn't check for expiration date.

What would we do without Ebay. I know, pay those ridiculous retail prices for our ink. Thank you Ebay. I just saved a bundle on my ink purchase.
