Colonial Days by David C. King (1997, Paperback, Illustrated)

My son and I have had a lot of fun and have learned a lot doing the experiments and games included in this book. David C. King brings the Colonial Days to life in his descriptions of how days were for the colonists, their children, and the Indians. There are games, recipes, and activities to do that are not too hard, nor are the ingredient lists too long nor filled with hard-to-find items. This is an excellent book for the home-school environment. I ordered it for my homeschool as recommended by Jessie Wise and Susan Wise Bauer in "The Well-Trained Mind."
