This book will help you id that battery operated toy

After writing a short guide about vintage battery operated toys, I received several emails asking if could identify a toy by a symbol that was found on the body. This can be a difficult task because of the sheer number of toy manufactures of the past and present. I have found a book that will help those in need of this information. It is called A COLLECTORS GUILD TO BATTERY OPERATED TOYS 2nd edition.
Within the pages of this book there are hundreds of color photos. The introduction includes sections on toy condition and value, history, trouble shooting and who made them. There is a paragraph about matching the symbol to the toy manufacture. For example: “Y “or “ YONE “would be the Yonezawa company.
The book goes in alphabetical order by the name of the toy. After finding the toy you are given the following information. The name of the toy, the decade it was made, how many actions, the rarity of the toy and the price range.
Using this book I have had good luck in finding and identifying most toys I have ran across.
In closing I would like to think those who found my guide on vintage operated toys helpful. I hope that this review will do the same.
