I liked this book very much it has alot of color photo's and tells you the prices. It also tells you about the mccoy family and the company. I found out how to tell if I was buying a real mccoy piece or a fake, better than I did before I got the book. It to me was a very helpful book.

      McCoy Pottery Reference Guide

Any seller who deals in McCoy Pottery and is not familiar with this beautiful pottery can benefit from this book. It covers the makers marks and history, plus gives you beautiful color pictures of this pottery.

I have recently started receiving a large amount of McCoy Pottery in my consignment store and felt the need to expand my knowledge on this beautiful vintage pottery.

WHY I HAVE OVER FIFTY COLLECTORS ENCYCLOPEDIAS
    Review created: 02/09/07

I FIND COLLECTORS BOOKS TO BE THE BIGGEST HELP IN TRACKING DOWN THE ORIGIN OF THE PIECE, THE TIME FRAME, AND SOME HINT ABOUT WORTH.
I DON'T TAKE BOOK COST TO SERIOUSLY FOR INSTANCE THIS BOOK IS ALMOST THIRTY YEARS OLD. IT DOES PUT ME IN THE RIGHT NEIGHBORHOOD. ITS ALSO THRILLING TO GO THROUGH AND SAY I HAVE THAT AND THAT ETC.
I FOUND COLLECTORS BOOKS TO BE REALLY HELPFUL WHEN I GOT SERIOUSLY INTERESTED IN CARNIVAL GLASS, NOW I CAN PICK OUT ORIGINALS AND IGNORE CHEAP IMITATIONS AND NEW COPIES.
THERE ARE ANNUALS OUT THERE THAT DON'T PROVIDE MUCH OF ANYTHING BECAUSE MOST OF THE PIECES THEY HAVE PICTURES OF ARE MUSEUM PIECES AND YOU HAVE NO CHANCE OF COMING ACROSS ONE AT A YARD SALE OR FLEA MARKET. UNLESS THERE IS A PICTURE YOU REALLY DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA HOW THE PIECE ACTUALLY LOOKS.
I REALLY LOVE MY NEW BOOK BECAUSE KNOW I KNOW WHAT IT IS I'M LOOKING AT. I WENT THROUGH THIS BOOK AND THOUGHT TO MYSELF, I'VE SEEN THAT, I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS A MCCOY. SO NOW I SO MUCH MORE EDUCATED IN COLLECTABLE THAN I WAS BEFORE I RECEIVED IT.
