This book is not a bad choice for a new collector. It helped to identify some pattern that I already had and could not identify. The photographs were very good and a big help. The book could have been a little more complete in the descriptions. This was a starting point for me as a new collector.

Beautiful photographs with informative descriptions. Would have preferred the
items pictured to also have included the dates of their manufacture. Since I
bought the book to indentify my pieces, the price guide section was irrelevant.
Liked the pictures of the maker's marks. Overall, this is a very nice book.
