The Collectors by David Baldacci (2007, Paperback, Reprint)

This book is really a very exciting, complicated story. I read it a second time to be sure I had all the characters straight as we plan to discuss it at our book club. The author is a master of injecting humor into frightening situations. I hope there is a sequel as one situation was left hanging in the balance. The characters were priceless. The author has a true gift for mystery.

An interesting and entertaining story. I had not cared much for the woman in the initial Camel Club book and her obsession with our hero, but enjoyed the introduction of another lady in this story and her eventual attachment to the club. I look forward to reading the next in the series as I have found the characters different and stimulating to the imagination along with decent storylines and plots.

David Baldacci has done it again with The Collectors. The story is interesting and holds the reader with his 4 unusual "partners" solving mysteries with many twists and turns. The endings are always a surprise and the book is hard to put down until it is completely ended.

Some of the best mysteries written today. Heart pounding twists and turns in every book. Hard to put down as the storylines and characters are so gripping.

A classic Baldacci thriller with the Camel Club buried in trouble and action. I can't compare his work to anyone else since I don't read anyone else on the fiction shelf. But he always gives a detailed look at the inside of some government agency/department/operation that makes one a little more aware of what's going on around them politically. (Although much of it is still fiction!)

This episode has the Camel Club running all over Washington tracking down bad guys with their lives always in danger and their unique skills being pushed to the limit.

If you've read any other novels by Baldacci, you'll know exactly the style you're in for...but you can't guess the climax. You'll be begging for more.
