COLLECTING COSTUME JEWELRY 202 by JULIA C. CARROLL '06

A most informative full size paperback book for the costume jewelry collector. I consider it a MUST have. This colorfully illustrated guide contains four hundred ninety five (495) full pages. Features six (6) methods for dating costume jewelry. Maker's mark, patent info, reviewing vintage ads, style or design, books, internet and provenance. Each method is explained in detail. Full color illustrations with relevant detail. Tables with the design patent number, date issued, designer, jewelry type and brief description also are abundant. Features Coro, Vendome, Trifari, Crown Trifari as well as other jewelry makers. There are also twelve and one half pages of manufacturer and marks charts, designers chart and an appendix on viewing patents online. After purchasing a high end designer costume jewelry lot and noticing the book mentioned on a separate listing, I decided this book was a MUST have for me. Throughout the years, I have amassed a lot of designer signed, as well as unsigned costume jewelry pieces. The seller had researched the patent number using the method in this book. IMPRESSIVE!
