A basic introduction to baseball card collecting intended for kids, but suitable for all ages. Owens begins with a brief history of baseball cards; then introduces the card grading and pricing system. He also covers information about card sets, sources, protectors, and shows. The glossary is a useful source of information about baseball card companies, the major league baseball teams, and periodicals and books on sports-card collecting. Great photographs, mainly color shots of baseball cards, illustrate the text.
