Album Notes Personnel includes: Jon Randall (vocals, acoustic guitar); Willie Nelson, Lorrie Morgan, Emmylou Harris (vocals); Kenny Vaughan (guitar); Stuart Duncan (fiddle); Steve Kahn (keyboards); Dave Pomeroy (bass); Al Perkins, Sonny Garrish. COLD COFFEE MORNING is Jon Randall's follow-up to his 1995 debut. Over the past few years this Texas-born singer has crooned his way through Nashville, lending his pliant voice for background singing stints on two Lorrie Morgan albums (Morgan and Randall are married). On COLD COFFEE MORNING, Morgan and Willie Nelson both turn in guest vocal appearances. A seasoned Nashville band backs Randall on this release packed with songs that tug on your heartstrings. Randall wrote or co-wrote five of the eleven songs here and he's not afraid to heat up the country boilerplate when he croons lines like "it's going to be a cold coffee morning and a warm beer afternoon" (Actually, the title track was written by Bill Anderson). With COLD COFFEE MORNING's lush and layered sound and all-star line-up, Randall and company have brewed this one to hit it big. | Find errors in the product description?
