Never Buy a Current Year Price Guide for Coins

Why not? Well, because you can get the last year's book for a dime on the dollar. I paid a little over five bucks on the 2008 Coins & Prices versus the nearly $30 that was being asked for the 2009 edition. I bought it in July, or half way through the year. I do not believe that accurate information can be reflected in the 2009 edition seeing as how all the auction figures are not yet in.
This book is a great guide if you are a collector of U.S., Mexican, or Canadian Coins. It offer comprehensive information along with pictures of the major coins printed by each country. Obviously, they cannot print a picture of each and every variety of a coin that was ever printed or it would end up being a 10,000 page book...although I am quite certain such a guide must exist somewhere. But if you are like me and are simply trading the American Coin market for profit, then this book is more than adequate to guide you as you buy and sell coins on eBay.
