This movie is very funny, very off-beat and cool. There isn't much of a plot to speak of, in fact the only thing that connects the segments is that they characters are drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. Overall a decent dvd if you want something out of the norm.

Taylor Mead's Best Interview in the Extras
) This is not one of Jarmusch's best films, but there are some great character pieces within. Tom Waits and Iggy Pop are delightfully bizarre, as they discuss smoking as non-smokers, and Taylor Mead is gloriously Taylor Mead in his vignette as well. In fact, this disc is worth the money just for the Taylor Mead interview in the extras. Mead himself has said that this is his best interview ever, and it's engaging and warm and always interesting to listen to someone with Mead's avant-garde history and talents.

Well, I have never watched anything like that before.Some scenes are a little weird, but generally I´d say it´s very interesting and has some of my favorite musicians in it, that´s why I bought it.

) I love Jim Jarmusch films. He never fails me as an independent film maker. If you like fresh, over-the-edge, check him out. Nothing is wasted in his work, which I find refreshing.

this is a movie you're either going to love or hate. i almost walked out of the theatre the first time watching it, but i stayed untill the end and saw how brilliant it actually is.
it was filmed over a period of 17 years. it is comprised of a series of vignettes. each having to do with drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. at first none of them seem to be connected. but listen to the dialogue. it begins to repeat and recycle.
i highly recommend it. and hey, if you don't like it you can always sell it back to someone else. but give it a few viewings before you make that decision.
