i like the drama and the love story with a little bit of sadness of loosing a friend the bar action is cool and the way they entertain you keeps you intrested then you get the love story that leaves you hanging until the end but also gives a happy ending

Great movie a 80's classic.Classic Cruise ! This is the movie that got bartenders to start flipping bottles !! and putting on a show !!! a must have for any movie collector !

I have always liked this movie. being that im a bartender as well i wanted to learn some of the tricks he did in the movie so i bought it to see them whenever i wanted and that bar-mans poet he says..its real cool

I love this movie. I bought it because I like tom cruise and he is an excellant actor once again. Its about fullfilling dreams and loving life!

This movie, for those who haven't seen it- is a modern day 'classic'. It's back in the day when Tom Cruise wasn't all about his religious beliefs... that being said- the man CAN act! He's a guy who has a job as a bartender in Jamaica and takes this bet with his pals about landing 'rich chicks' only to lose the one girl that he's fallen for & she's fallen for him too-(not knowing that she too is a 'rich chick'). They later meet up again in real life (not really- it's still the movie) where she finally has the extreme pleasure of dumping him once she tells him she saw him cheating on her with a 'rich chick'. The bar scenes are classic and I believe that they actually have contests of some sorts now (in real life) resembling the whole bar bottle tosses that originated from this movie. With Elisabeth Shue as the leading gal opposite Tom Cruise, you're sure to get your dose of good acting skills in this movie!- TWO THUMBS UP! I bought this movie because I have two teenagers who have NEVER even HEARD about this movie (GASP!!!) I know- so Ebay here I come!!! Get this movie to add to your collection- you won't be disappointed and even though it's an 80's flick- it's definitely a new 'classic'!

I love this movie. It shows a great example of how a father should stand up for their children...no matter what the cost.

Cocktail is one of those rare movies that is at once so-bad-its-good and actually quite good. Tom Cruise is his usual semi-likable, A-type self as a bartending entrepreneur in this shallow confection that blends comedy, romance, and *sniff* tragedy. One of the best pop soundtracks in memory transcends the early Go-Go 80s bar scenes into campy pleasure. The scenes in Jamaica with Elizabeth Shue are wonderful, in a Dirty Dancing way. And the final dramatic scenes back in New York? Allow yourself to care, and have fun.

I love this movie it is one of my faves,, The price was right and shipping was great. Thats why I choose this one.

I could not remember this story or if I had even seen it. I tried finding it as a rental at several different video stores and finally gave up and purchased a new copy from eBay. Even more than the storyline, I was surprised at the way the movie was expertly constructed with a variety of tempo changes that help move the story forward, yet let the viewer relax a little while getting there. -- Movies seem so hard hitting and overstuffed with non-stop turning points anymore that it is like watching a puzzle. Also, if you are over thirty, you can probably have a "Thank God I stopped wearing my hair like that!" moment while you watch it!

I have seen a lot of Tom Cruise movies and this one is a good one for sure. Makes me want to be a bartender and move to Jamica.

we bought it because my wife has wanted it on dvd and it was fairly a good deal.it was shipped very fast and i would really consider buying from this lady again.

Well here goes I love this movie and i could not find it anywhere so i thought ebay wou;d have it they have everything!! You can find just about anything on ebay!! This movie is awesome--Tom Cruise is 1 of my fav. actors..What made me decide 2 buy it was the price and the fact you can't find it anywhere else--Thx ebay--Donna Schaffer

Cocktail has a good plot and beautiful scenery. The chemistry between Tom Cruise and Elizabeth Shue is very good. The supporting cast is remarkable.

I bought the DVD Coctail on ebay because I could not find it at any store where I am currently living. This DVD was shipped in a very timely fashion and it was brand new.

It's a fun movie to watch. Elisabeth Shue is one of the most beautiful women who ever appeared on screen, and Tom Cruise is....well, Tom Cruise. A bit of a corny flick, but that's one of the things that makes it great.

Highly enjoyable movie- Tom Cruise is excellent as he proves that love conquers all- especially when obstacles keep getting in the way. Woiuld highly recommend this movie as it's a great mood lifter. The Soundtrack is very enjoyable too.
