Cobra SZ Fairway Wood Golf Club

About me: I'm a mid- to high- handicap golfer and play 1-2 rounds a month.

I currently carry the Cobra SZ 3-wood in a regular shaft. I previously played the Cleveland Quadpro 3- and 5-woods and the Nickent Genex 3dx 3-wood. I’ve also demo’d the Cleveland Launcher fairway woods and the TaylorMade V-steel fairway woods.

Performance: The Cobra SZ has a deeper face than traditional fairway woods and the lateral back weights on this club make it forgiving and very east to hit. I am much more consistent and accurate with the Cobra than I have ever been wit any other fairway wood. One of the things I like best about the Cobra is the fantastic clear ring at impact.

One thing to watch for with this club is shaft flex. If you are on the cusp of shaft flexes (I am between regular and stiff), be careful with the shaft selection in this club. The Aldila HM Tour shaft that comes stock in this club has a smooth mid-point flex, but the shaft feels softer to me than other regular shafts I carry. You may want to demo this club and determine if what flex feels most comfortable to you before buying. If you are buying cold without trying, I’d go with the stronger flex.

Bottomline: Great 3-wood. Deeper face makes it more forgiving and easier to hit. I’m more consistent and accurate with this club than with any fairway wood I’ve ever played. But be careful of your shaft flex selection.

I bought the wood because I had used a friend of mine and I hit it very well. The Club was in very good shape and it was just what I wanted at an affordable price.

I have been golfing for several years now and am a 26 handicap. It has been through much trial and error, not to mention expense, to assemble a set of clubs I can hit well. I have to say "Finally, I've found my fairway wood". Being an above average distance hitter, the Cobra SZ 5 Wood fits my game perfectly. It's a great club off the tee and very easy to hit in the fairway. It has great trajectory and miss-hits are few. I love the way it sounds and the confidence it has given me.

I brought the cobra sz 5 wood because of how well I hit the 3 wood I had purchased at Golfsmith. The ball jumps off of the clubhead, and you are able to get the maximum distance without sacrificing any accuracy. This is simply a great line of woods.

This is a great club. I bought it to match another club I have.I am on the greens playing every day. I try out lots of different clubs. I highly recommend this club to anyone that's a beginner. A great value for the price.

This is one of the best fairway wood which is made by King Cobra Co. I owed The golf drive range in St. Louis, so I have a lot of chance to try all kinds of golf clubs with teaching Pros. I recomand to everyone this club, it is not $200, you will enjoy the contact feeling n'soft.

Fills the bill. I needed a club to finish my game with and this one has been great. I usually get the ball where I want it.

I tried out one my friend has and I was able to add another 30 to 40 yards, most of the time without that horrible curve. He asked me if I wanted to buy his club for his price. I declined and started looking on E-Bay. I located the exact same club and put in what I thought would be a fair price. Received it promptly, and better than I expected. I love this club and since then, I have purchased a complete set of Cobras including #3 #5 a #3 baffler also a set of irons. They were all used, but still in great shape. Thanks to E-Bay

This Cobra SZ #3 Fairway in a beautiful hitting club in the right hands. I couldn't hit it to save my life, but my 9th grade son hits it beautifully and consistently. His swing takes this club to 150-175 yards with surety. After only a few practice sessions on the range, the mishit ball is a thing of the past. This club is beautiful to look at as well as hit.

I already had the Cobra 400SZ, 460SZ, and the Cobra SZ 3 wood, so it was only fitting that I get the 5 wood. Not at all dissatisfied with my choice. I think these clubs are excellent! The 5 wood is easier for me to hit than the 3 iron, and I can get 180 yards out of it with a smooth, easy swing. Very pleased with the Cobra clubs.

This product was fine but I got ripped off and filed a claim only to find out that it was autonatically closed prior to resolution without any eamil notification. I purchased an electronic keyboard and also paid shipping insurance. The seller said the keyboard was in perfect condition and when I received it the end cap was busted off and I had to take it to have the power supply fixed which obviously was damaged before shipment. This cost me an additional $250 on a purchase that cost $635 plus shipping of $85 for a total of $720. This was an extra 35% additional cost. I called the seller and was told not to bother him. The seller's name is Wayne Scheller item # 7408073636.

It's strange that no one want my review on that purchase... I will be interested in seeing if there is any follow up on this. Very disappointed!!!!

great product--very easy to hit straight and long.You would not be dissappointed if you bought this 3 wood. The shipping was very reasonable and very quick. I 've had other cobra clubs and i have never been sorry i purchased them.

Great club for a GREAT price. Used it twice in 9 holes the first time out and it hits extremely well. Could not be happier with my purchase.

My golfing buddy brought the whole set of sz cobra clubs. Driver -3-5-7 woods and let me try them. With this 5 wood i completed my set. They are easy to hit, forgiving and hit longer. I tried them all Ping - Calaway, etc. These far out perform. mel.

I love Cobra clubs. Ebay had what i was looking for in a 5 wood. It fits my game, and the price was right for me. It has work out well for me.

I liked this offset club so much I bought an offset driver and 3 wood they are much easier to hit!I would highly recommend buying it.
