Cobra SS 427 Driver Golf Club

This was a fairly solid striking driver but after changing the shaft to one that I knew would be better, It is now the longest and straightest driver I have ever had. And, believe me I have used and tried many. I discovered this driver by watching a fellow golfer hit a simular one quite straight. After finally letting me try it on the 15th hole, I didn't want to give it back. So I looked for the head on ebay, ordered the exact same shaft,and had it put together. It now fits my swing and I have never driven better. Bill J

I went on a quest to find a driver I could hit long. I'm 58 now and my long game had deteriorated to the point golf just wasn't fun anymore. To me? if you can't crush it off the tee? well I'm just not patient enough I guess. I have literally tried...seriously tried over 50 drivers. These Cobra 427s intrigued me because I notice the people who do hit them well are not moving on each year. They just put on another new grip and go out smashing long straight drives. At first I could not hit one to save me. Which was also true of nearly every other driver I tried. Then I found a cobra SS I could hit very well...and a 330 Cleveland....I rapidly acquired 6 more of each and began experimenting in ernest, shafts, grips. I got into puring and discovered there is truth in that. I also discovered OEM shafts in almost all cases are crap. They are almost never aligned and mass production means if you don't fit OEM view of average? you have no chance. Most of the clubs for sale on ebay aren't there because somebody could hit them well. I have discovered the same is true of the Cobra 427SS and then some. These clubs are a steal, usually can have one for $50 bucks or less..ok that's the good news. The bad news? odds on you won't be able to hit it a lick. You need a shaft upgrade to match you and you need it aligned to the position it desires to return to. Good shafts can be had new from goldsmith or golfworks. I've found there is no reason to pay $300 bucks for a fuji speeder or diamana bluebloard..trust me on this ...a grafalloy blue at $50 is good or better. I hit them better. You can set up a small shop and do this for yourself...and it's FUN!! I've got about $500 in shop equipment including a launch monitor and spine alignment setup. In the alternative you probably have a friend doing this stuff already. In any case...get that SS427 put a good shaft in it and don't forget a good grip..change often. And BLAST away. Good hitting!

the driver is easy to hit and forgiving on mis hits.i purchased this club for a friend, because he liked mine so much.

Club was just what I expected. I had one like it and gave it away. after trying many clubs I wanted to get one like I used to have. this driver fit the bill in every way

This driver is easy to hit. I'm now over 65 and my handicap is up to 16. But with this driver I bet I can get back down to around 10. With the draw built into this club, I'm hitting more fairways and my distance has improved. I decieded to buy this club after doing a lot of research on different drivers and the way they were built. The Cobra SS 427 Driver Golf Club was presented exactly as represented on eBay. The delivery of the club was fast, considering it was delivered the day before Christmas! I have used the Cobra Driver club a number of rounds and have never had a more forgiving and smooth swinging club.

The club was fine for the price paid for the club. Had to regrip the club but would have done that any way.

This driver was as advertised and actually in better condition than I expected I most certainly would buy from this individual again.

what can I say...I'm booming the ball with this driver. I was having a problem with "duck hooks"...not with this one. Most of the time it hits a power fade or its straight.

I like the name, Cobra SS 427. A golf club with the name of a super cool car. I'm not much of a golfer but this can help me be better.

great club. all that i expected. for a used golf club it performs as good as new. i,d recommend it to anyone looking for an up grade of their prescent club.

I was familiar with the driver and did not want to pay new price for it. I found it listed on EBay and was able to get it. I am very satisfied with the club. It was in like new shape and arrived very promptly.
