Best iron set for the price. Perfect balance between feel and forgiveness. Please try this Cobra FP set, if you are looking for an iron set that will improve your game. Perfect fit for those mid-handicappers searching iron set that does it all.

  Fantastic Cobra FP irons

I bought the Cobra Fp with the stiff graphite shafts. I am a 4 hncp looking for a more forgiving club. These irons are EASY to hit. They are not so big a cavity back that prevents you from keeping the ball down or working it. Can't go wrong for the money. Beats the Taylormade R7 hands down.

2007 cobra FP graphite R irons

I usually played Mizuno T-zoid Pro or Hogan apex plus (both forged) with regular steel shafts but bought the FP graphites after my heart bypass surgery seeking a bit more distance with less effort. They are fine clubs. Although The wider sole takes a bit of getting used, they definitely give you a bit more distance ,Play better from the rough, are accurate and deliver a high ball flight that will still stop the ball like a forged club. When hit on the center they feel just like forged and still feel good off center. Although you dont get as much feedback they are more forgiving on bad swings. They are a little harder off a tight lie due to the wider sole and a bit more bounce and as a result play a little easier off bermuda than bentgrass.Right now the 2007 models are pretty cheap and a good buy. I dont know why cobra made the sole shiny as it becomes scratched to a buff finish in only a few rounds and they should have just left if as a matte finish from the beginning .I think any hcp 10 or higher will like these clubs(I am a 12 index). I hope this helps your decision.

  Sweet clubs
Review created: 04/27/08

Purchased the FP's with steel shaft. These are some sweet clubs. I have played a lot of brand name clubs, most recently the Big Bertha 2004's which I thought were a very good club with a soft feel. These FP's are a way better club, for me anyhow. They are lighter, which means much more control and not having to swing quite so hard. The lofts are similar to the Callaways so they hit about the same distance. They are very forgiving, yet workable and when you catch it on the sweet spot they feel like a forged club (yes they are that good). Overall, one of the best clubs out there for the money. The only issue I have with them is that they seem to get dinged up quite easily. My Big Bertha's were in the bag for 3 years and didn't have as many bag rattle dings as the FP's got in less than a month. At the risk of looking like a golf geek, I would suggest getting some iron covers for these.

I like the looks of the FP irons when I address the ball. The top line of the club is thin like the traditional club but has the cavity back forgiveness of the newer clubs. The weight in the bottom of the club helps by enlarging the sweet spot and thus causing fewer off center strokes. I have been wanting to try the Cobra irons for a while and was waiting for the right priced clubs and I found them on eBay. I would recommend the FP irons to any golfer--from beginner to low handicapper. I have played Callaway irons for 10 years and I can honestly say they are as good as Callaway.

The clubs have a great feel and seem to give me more distance then my old Cobras did. I bought these as an upgrade to my King Cobra SS iron set. I am an avg. player and these clubs have helped me drop a couple strokes off my round.

Great condition and a fast delivery. My expectation was met and more.I decided to switch to stiff shaft clubs. I have a king cobra driver and love it. I figured why not try the irons. It was a great choice. I am getting almost ten more yards on each iron. When struck well I get a better launch and higher ball flight then my R7 Draws

These clubs hit and look great! I am very satisfied and my golf game is better now. I will definitely try king cobra products first now. I can hit farther with the new clubs than with my old ones, and now I'm shooting lower scores!

I did a price comparison with my local golf stores and through Ebay, the price was 40% less. The product arrived within a week and was brand new, so basically the same product I would have received from my local store.

I love the irons. I hit this set one club longer than with the Cleveland clones I was using. Might be the graphite shaft though...anyhow, I'm very happy with this purchase!

Cobra irons has developed a great rep over the last few years , and well earned . AS far as forgiving and soft they are just that . This is a purchase that has began to lower my score after the first trip to the course .

The product appears to be the real Cobra. You often worry something like this could be a knock-0ff. However I am satisfied with the clus. The seller sent what was described and in the time manner promised. So far my purchase on e-bay have been good.

  Swing away!
Review created: 11/01/09

How incredibly lucky I was to come upon a set of 2007 Cobra FP irons 4-PW w/GW... I'd never seen a more amazing looking set of irons and was comparison shopping on ebay as I watched this auction, which was in it's final minutes tick down. I saw how ridiculously low the bid price was so I entered a bid in the final seconds and literally outbid someone by 1 cent.

Not only are these clubs incredibly light feeling and well balanced in your hands, they're by far the sweetest looking set I'd ever seen. Completely color coordinated with their beautiful graphite shafts. Variations of blue, black and white just look tremendous in consort with each other.

I couldn't wait to take the 6 iron to the range and compare it with some other sets I own. Wow. I was hoping they performed half as well as they looked and was astonished when their performance matched their style. Rare. Straight business...these clubs are absolutely fantastic in every single aspect. I bought them simply because of their tremendous aesthetic appeal and may keep them due to their performance.

If you can find a set of these on ebay with the coordinated shafts, grips and heads you have to take a flier on them. I don't think you'll be disappointed and I know you'll be the most styling golfer on the course or at the range.

These are just the right clubs for me. I tested them at a local golf store and their used price was twice for what I paid for these clubs including the shipping. So Thanks.

  sweet deal, sweet clubs

i was really on the fence about buying the cobra irons. i had played king cobra II for about 8 years and just wanted a change. i looked at ping, tm, and callaway - but none of those compared to the price of the cobras. these clubs look great, feel great, and are long. i have picked up about 8-10 yards on each iron thru the set, so i have some distance gaps to re-figure, but what a great buy. if you want a nice set of clubs for a good price (under $400) you will not be disappointed.

  Cobra FP irons
Review created: 07/08/09

These clubs are fairly heavy, I like heavy irons. They are easy to swing and keep on line. I hit these at fairly standard distances for me, 9 iron about 100 yards, 6 iron at 160 yards. I wish the set had come with a sand wedge, instead of a gap wedge. I find a sand wedge is more versatile but maybe I'll get used to it. There is no vibration on a cleanly hit ball in any of the clubs. I've only played a couple of rounds with these but they were worth the money.

They hit great but the chrome will peal off like the skin off an apple. It is shame that they look 10 years old after 1 year but they do hit as good as any iron that I ever hit. I love the cirle in the middle of the club face. The shafts is what makes these clubs they feel so good.
