Coaching Footballs 40 Nickel Defense by Jeff Walker (2000, Paperback)

Coach Walker does a great job teaching a multi package defense. His very simple numbering schemes allows for the defensive line to align in a variety of gaps and still stay gap oriented. The variety of defensive calls allows the defense to switch from a 4-4 to 4-3 to a Nickel. Simple adjustments will allow coaches to introduce bear fronts, over, and unders. Coach Walker has done a tremendous job in this book and it is a definite must for defensive coordinators trying to combat todays modern offense.
