Club Paradise (DVD, 2006)

Great laughs lots of big name stars you can watch this over an over again an everytime you notice something new to laugh at.

Although this film will never be considered for an academy award ,it is a very
funny movie.With a varied cast, Robin Williams, Peter O'Toole, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, Twiggy, and Jimmy Cliff.
Robin Williams plays a Chicago fire man who has retired and "gone native".With his new friend Jimmy Cliff they open a small resort, and soon must deal with a corrupt official, and a greedy resort owner who want to shut them down.
With comedy provided by Williams, and Rick Morranis and Eugen Levy as a pair of vacationing and bumbling guests looking to "score",and a love interest between Williams and Twiggy, it is a light hearted movie.
The movie even has a few songs performed by Jimmy Cliff, and gives you some idea of what it was like when he was part of Bob Marley and the Wailers.
This movie is a great way to spend an afternoon on a cold day. Just sit back and pretend you are in Jamaica

I purchased this DVD to add to my collection. I remember watching this movie years ago and it's really a classic laugh out loud comedy. If you like Robin Williams and are in the mood for a carribean beach party, laugh fest. Check this one out. Not to mention Rick Moranis and Eugene Levy. These guys make it worth your while. And the music!! Just awesome! Some people find this flick to be stupid. I on the other hand love it. Great addition to a DVD collection!!

This is a movie about a Fireman (Robin Williams) who is injured on the job. After his near death experience, he decides to move to Jamaica to recover and retire. I love the country of Jamaica, the people and beautiful water. I visited the Island country four times and hope to retire there myself one day. So relating to this movie is very easy for me. It has a great cast, and music.
One of the nice things about Ebay is that you can find new, unopened movies like this one that may be your favorite, that aren't readily available in retail stores. There's actually not one thing that I dislike about the movie. I would highly reccomend it to any Robin Williams fan, or anyone that loves Jamaica. It's very funny, from begining to end. It's the type of movie I buy because I know I'll watch it many times, and enjoy every time.

Have laughed with this movie on vcr and converting my collection favorites to dvd quality and consider this an important title for my collection. The music is great with jimmy Cliff, the rastis are hilarious but real if you've been there, the cast quality is amazing too much fun!!!

My all time fav comedy, this is a classic movie with mosy of the cast from Second City! A must have for any SCTV fan!

I have been looking for this DVD for a long time. I have it on VHS and have watched it many times, but I travel often and wanted it for my portable DVD player. Very prompt delivery!

A chicago fireman retires to open a resort in the islands. While trying to keep the resort running and the guests happy, there is a governmental uprising that he's caught in the middle of. Turns into a very funny set of events featuring Robin Williams and the cast of SCTV, Eugene Levy, Rick Moranis, Joe Flaherty, directed by Harold Ramis. This was made when Robin Williams just wanted to be funny, and the funny scenes catch you by surprise. Funny for the entire family but not too slow for adults. I bought it just because you are not going to find it on cabel or tv anymore.

i like this dvd cause it is a great comedy. i couldn't find it anywhere else so i decided to look on here for it. the dvd was brand new when i got it and it was cheap

Refreshing to see Robin Williams as a young buck. Has funny moments with originality but most people will be bored before half. I personally loved the fashion moments and could watch this film over and over just to take mental picture of the fabulous styles of the early 80's. Glad I purchased it.

i had been looking for this movie in stores could not find it on dvd i was soooo excited to buy but unfortunately the item for sale was damaged so they were unable to send it i am thankful they did not stick me with damaged goods but i was very disappointed.
