Clothing & Accessories from the '40S, '50s & '60s by Jan Lindenberger (1997, Paperback)

This book is written for people who collect vintage clothing and accessories, and includes pictures and price guides. The price guides are obviously no longer relevant since the book is more than 10 years old, but that's not what I was interested in, anyway.
The book was disappointing, for several reasons. First is that the items listed are not separated by the decades, and not even listed in chronological order. For someone, like me, who only collects from one decade, that makes it frustrating to isolate the items from the time period I'm interested in.
The pictures are disappointing. Some garments were photographed close up and show detail, some were photographed from a distance and/or with the garment bunched up so the detail is not visible. In some pictures the lighting is poor, also making it difficult to see the detail. In general, the pictures of accessories are better than the pictures of garments.
The provenance of the items pictured is not listed, and I question the dating of some of the items. Certain items are listed as being from the previous or following decade; while there is certainly some carryover in styles from one decade to the next, an item, for example, that is typical of styles from the late 60s is listed as being from the 50s.
